Registration will open at 6am on Sunday and the event will start at 0800hrs with the start line closing at 0930hrs. You can also register on Saturday between 1200hrs - 1600hrs.
Easy access by road. Well lit access points and around the start and finish area. There are showers and breakfast will be available to buy.
At registration you will be receive a high-tech timing sticker and your entry number which is to be placed in front of your handlebars (cable ties will be provided).
The 'Cut Off Points' are for the safety of the riders to ensure they are able to get back as safely as possible. These will be calculated for speed of the riders accordingly, the times will be listed in the event instructions which will be sent out prior to the event.
A vehicle will be following the last riders and can pick up anyone who is unable to complete the course. If your speed has slowed dramatically, an assessment will be made of your progress and if you are still some way from the finish, you will be asked to take advantage of the transport as we have to ensure there are no riders on the course after it gets dark.
There will be safety vehicles patrolling the route to assist any riders who have problems.
You are not to wear any headphones of any description.
Every step of the way you'll be fully supported. Mechanics and medics will be on hand, there are no marshals on the route. There are be snacks and refreshments to keep you going at the feed station half way round the course. Somerset are fully supportive of cycling events.
Medical cover will be in attendance throughout the event. Ambulances and First Aid Cover will be provided by The British Red Cross but please fulfill your own responsibilities by:
- Informing the registration staff of any known medical conditions that may be relevant to your treatment in the event of an accident.
- Completing the medical information and the contact details template on the reverse of your race numbers.
